4. Cookies and pixels

Cookies are small files stored on your device; pixels are small pieces of code that record certain events on the Website. Depending on our advertising activities at any given time, we may use:

  • Essential tools: needed for the Website and its forms to work and stay secure.
  • Statistics and performance tools: such as Jetpack and WordPress.com statistics on some pages, to understand visit numbers and improve site speed. We also use Google Search Console to view aggregated data on how the Website appears in Google search results.
  • Advertising tools: the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), the TikTok Pixel and the Snapchat Pixel. These may collect information about your visit and actions on the Website and send it to the relevant platform, which may combine it with other information it holds about you, to help us measure our ads and show them to interested people.

Some service providers and platforms may store or process information outside the State of Kuwait.

7. Medical information and medical disclaimer

  • Please do not send detailed medical information, test results, images of medical reports or identity documents through Website forms or WhatsApp. Share only what is needed to arrange an appointment, such as your name, phone number and a general reason for the visit (e.g. “eye check-up”).
  • Medical information you provide during your visit to the Clinic is kept in clinical records and handled under medical confidentiality and the applicable laws of the State of Kuwait, separately from this Policy.
  • Content on the Website is for general information and awareness only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not replace an examination by a qualified doctor.
  • Contacting us through the Website, WhatsApp or email does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Such a relationship begins only after a medical consultation at the Clinic.
  • In an emergency, such as sudden loss of vision or an eye injury, please call the Clinic or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not rely on Website forms or messages.

8. Children’s privacy

The Website is not directed at children. Appointment requests for anyone under 18 should be made by a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that a minor has submitted personal information without a guardian’s consent, we will take steps to delete it.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by applicable law. Information collected by advertising platforms and service providers is subject to their own retention policies.
